Lunch & Learn: The Hidden Value in Healthier Buildings
Sponsored By Healthy Buildings
June 8 | Burnett Plaza

The Hidden Value in Healthier Buildings  The intersection of cognitive function research, Health & Wellness standards; breathing new life into our understanding of how humans interact with their indoor environments.

It is widely known that buildings have the potential to cause great swings in the performance of occupants. Owners and occupants of buildings have the common financial goal of economic returns, yet efficiencies are traditionally measured in energy use. Decision makers have been reluctant to use human productivity as a tool because it has been hard to measure. With over 25 studies completed, capped by a landmark Harvard Study, the jury is in. There is a spectacular relationship between indoor air quality and human cognitive function, unleashing an entirely new set of economic considerations when operating commercial property.

During this session, attendees will gain an understanding on integrating the big picture of recent, game-changing studies that are revealing the power of indoor environmental quality and the impact on human performance. IAQ has massive potential to improve corporate productivity. Mr. Steiner will share results of the most recent study (published by the Harvard School of Public Health), as well as anecdotes.
