Community Service

BOMA Fort Worth researches community needs within Fort Worth and Tarrant County and develops plans to assist those groups and/or charities through volunteer time and various fund raising events.

Pre COVID we volunteered our time making meals at Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth (RMHFW), held a toilet paper challenge with the Fort Worth Police Department, volunteered at Project Success, and provided new coats and a backpack filled with new shoes, a toy, a blanket, and a hand knitted hat for the children at Center for Transforming Lives . COVID-19 halted how we are able to serve, but it has not halted our commitment to our community.

With your help we can still provide meals to the families at RMHFW, donate toiletries to the senior citizens, and provide warmth and smiles to the kids at Center For Transforming Lives. Make a donation to the Community Service general fund or designate a specific project.

Broken Bow Raffle

The BOMA Fort Worth Community Service Committee is raffling off a 3-night stay at Treeline Terrace in Broken Bow, OK! The proceeds will benefit the various BOMA Fort Worth community service projects that allow us to give back to the community.

Surrounded by towering pines and perched atop a hillside, Treeline Terrace is perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway to Beavers Bend and Broken Bow Lake. Treeline Terrace showcases floor to ceiling windows that capture the essence and beauty of the lush evergreen scenery. Downstairs there are two king bedrooms, each with their own private en suite. Proceed upstairs and you will find another king bedroom with its own bathroom. The loft has 4-custom built-in twin bunks and two trundles. The loft doubles as a game room with a shuffleboard table and a retro video arcade cocktail table with 60 games. Outside is where you will want to spend most of your time on the large, covered deck with cozy seating and an outdoor gas fireplace and dining table. Relax and enjoy the hot tub or kick back in the comfy Adirondack chairs for s’mores around the campfire.

Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. Blackout dates include all major holidays (President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s). Drawing will be held on June 24, 2021, at 6:00PM – need not be present to win. Winner must claim prize within 48-hours of being contacted. Good through May 2022.

Toiletry Drive

BOMA Fort Worth partners with the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) to collect toiletry items for the senior citizens and shelters of Tarrant county. While we typically compete annually for the "Golden TP" award, COVID-19 has changed this event.

While we are not competing, we are still giving back to the community. Join us at our two (2) Beer & Basics events on April 15th (TP Tax Day) and in May (date to be determined) at Landmark Bar+Kitchen. Bring the basics (cleaning supplies, adult diapers, toilet paper, razors, bath soap, shampoo, paper towels, wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dish soap, laundry soap, bleach, hand sanitizer, cotton balls, deodorant, combs, brushes, q-tips, etc.), grab a beer & network with your friends and colleagues. All are welcome. No need to register...just bring the basics & grab a beer!

When We Love

When We Love focuses on serving the youth and single parent families struggling with poverty and homelessness, two of the most vulnerable demographics within the homeless community.
Their immediate need is gently used work and interview clothing and shoes for men and women. Drop items off at: 1100 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, 76102. If you need help transporting the items, please reach out to any of the Community Service Committee members or the BOMA office to make arrangements.
Already donated, but want to help the cause? Donate a gift card (Walmart, Target or Amazon) so we can purchase new socks and underwear, individually wrapped snacks, bottled water and disinfecting wipes to give to When We Love and give back to our community.

YWCA - Coats 4 Kids

Goal: To provide a child at the Center for Transforming Lives (downtown Fort Worth, Lancaster & Poly Tech) with a new coat, blanket, knitted cap, backpack, toy, and a pair of shoes during the Christmas season. More details on how you can participate soon!

Volunteer Opportunities

Goal: To provide a fun and interactive environment  where BOMA Fort Worth members can work together in helping various agencies within Tarrant County.

Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth: For years we volunteered our time making meals at Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth (RMHFW). COVID-19 halted our volunteer time, but it has not halted our commitment to make sure these families have one less thing to worry about while staying at RMHFW. With your donation of $5, $10, or more, BOMA Fort Worth will be able to serve individually-packaged meals to the families through the Cups of Comfort program in 2021. Something as simple as a boxed meal takes a massive burden off the families shoulders and lifts their spirits. We hope you will consider helping out the families by bringing a little cash to the April Monthly Luncheon.

Project Success: Details to come.
