Community ServiceBOMA Fort Worth researches community needs within Fort Worth and Tarrant County and develops plans to assist those groups and/or charities through volunteer time and various fund raising events. Coats 4 KidsGoal: To provide a child at the Center for Transforming Lives (downtown Fort Worth, Lancaster & Poly Tech) with a new coat, blanket, knitted cap, backpack, toy, and a pair of shoes during the Christmas season. Toiletry DriveBOMA Fort Worth partners with the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) to collect toiletry items for the senior citizens and shelters of Tarrant county. While we typically compete annually for the "Golden TP" award, COVID-19 has changed this event. While we are not competing, we are still giving back to the community. Join us at our first Beer & Basics events on February 16 at Republic Texas. Bring the basics (cleaning supplies, adult diapers, toilet paper, razors, bath soap, shampoo, paper towels, wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dish soap, laundry soap, bleach, hand sanitizer, cotton balls, deodorant, combs, brushes, q-tips, etc.), grab a beer & network with your friends and colleagues. All are welcome. No need to register...just bring the basics & grab a beer! When We LoveWhen We Love focuses on serving the youth and single parent families struggling with poverty and homelessness, two of the most vulnerable demographics within the homeless community.
Their immediate need is gently used work and interview clothing and shoes for men and women. Drop items off at: 1100 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, 76102. If you need help transporting the items, please reach out to any of the Community Service Committee members or the BOMA office to make arrangements.

Volunteer OpportunitiesGoal: To provide a fun and interactive environment where BOMA Fort Worth members can work together in helping various agencies within Tarrant County. Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth: For years we volunteered our time making meals at Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth (RMHFW). COVID-19 halted our volunteer time, but it has not halted our commitment to make sure these families have one less thing to worry about while staying at RMHFW. With your donation of $5, $10, or more, BOMA Fort Worth will be able to serve individually-packaged meals to the families through the Cups of Comfort program in 2021. Something as simple as a boxed meal takes a massive burden off the families shoulders and lifts their spirits. Project Success: Details to come. |
